After a very quick turn around the 2020/21 Premier League season is just around the corner.
With the fixtures just announced and transfer window well under way the anticipation is already starting to build.
Even here at the Big Kick Off we are getting ready for the new season. You will see plenty of articles up on our website building up to the new season. Please do keep an eye on our website and social media pages for them.

One thing that is exciting about this season is the amount of young talent on display. The future of the Premier League looks bright with every team having future stars in their ranks.
So, today we wanted to talk about that most exciting of the bunch. We will be looking at the best teenagers to look out for this upcoming season.
Due to the fact we will be talking about teenagers a lot of young talent in their early 20s will have to miss out. Lads like Phil Foden, Reiss Nelson, Matt Longstaff, Ruben Vinagre, Yan Valery and Joao Virginia all must miss out as we will be looking at lads under the age of 20.
This will be another article that will miss lads out. As always, we would love to hear your shout. So, comment below the article and let us know what teenager you think will shine next season.

Some honourable mentions to start. Billy Gilmour, Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliot, Brandon Williams, Goncalo Cardoso and Callum Hudson – Odoi all just miss out for one reason or another.
5. Eric Garcia
Honestly, I would have this lad much higher on the list. Garcia just sneaks in due to the fact there is speculation he might not be in the Premier League next season.
Barcelona are very interested in brining the young Spanish centre half back home to the club he spent his youth career with. But at the time of writing speculation is all we can go off.
The 19-year-old is beginning to make a name for himself at Manchester City. He made his debut in September 2019 and has been a regular in the squad for the most part since then.
While he might not be a starter at City next season due to the arrival of Nathan Ake. He could certainly be stiff competition and keep every defender at City on their toes.
He could even push over the right back and give Kyle Walker a good push for his place. Either way he will certainly have a future at City especially if he waits. He still has plenty of time on his side.
While you could understand if he moves back to Barcelona. It would be a shame for the league. Garcia was proving himself to be a special talent at the back with his natural calm demeanour and distribution of a ball.

4. Ethan Ampadu
Some people might be very surprised to see Hudson-Odoi in the honourable mentions. However, I think Ethan Ampadu could bring more of an impact to Chelsea.
The young 19-year-old has returned from an injury ridden loan spell at RB Leipzig. While he didn’t get much experience his return to Chelsea might be good timing.
While Chelsea did impress going forward last season their defence wasn’t great. They have some decent players back there but need tightening up and a much better goalkeeper. This is where Ampadu comes in.
The Welsh international predominantly plays as a centre back. If Frank Lampard is willing to take another punt on a young Chelsea player Ampadu could help with their defensive woes. He has proved himself as a strong and confident defender especially with Wales.
This could really save Chelsea a lot of money. Chelsea had the worst defensive record in the top half last season. Adding in someone like Ampadu who has openly said he wants to be at Chelsea and fight for his place could help improve things.
He certainly could be another great young talent at the London side. The ball is in the managers court with this one and I think he would be mad to fumble it.

3. Gabriel Martinelli
Now we are getting into things.
Martinelli was an instant success for Arsenal as soon as he made his debut in September 2019. He scored seven goals in his first seven games for the Gunners. Becoming the first player from the club to score four goals in his first four starts since Ian Wright. He was also the highest scoring teenager for a top five European club.
Martinelli wasn’t just a flash in the pan either. He continued to show his goalscoring ability. Even scoring a cracking goal against Chelsea. Becoming the first Arsenal teenager to reach double figures in his goal tally since Nicolas Anelka.
He was quickly giving a new four-year deal at Arsenal.
Unfortunately, towards the back end of the season he suffered a knee injury that required surgery.
While Martinelli is set to miss the first few months of the season the hype around this lad is justified. Expect him to hit the ground running not long after his return.
If he stays with Arsenal long term, he could become a special player in the club’s history.

2. Bukayo Saka
Sticking with Arsenal for our next entry. Wenger always seemed to have a knack of bringing out the best in the younger players. This seems to be a trait current manager Mikel Arteta has as well.
They have a lot of talented youngsters in their ranks. Making the future exciting for Arsenal fans.
However, Bukayo Saka is not only one of the better young players for Arsenal last season. He was one of their best players period.
For someone so young he showed a true maturity to his game this season. He was very versatile and played in a few different positions and exceeded in them all.
Saka made 27 league appearances last season scoring a single goal against Wolves.
Ever since Arteta took over he seems to be a regular and defiantly in his plans going forward.
He even signed a new long-term contract at Arsenal recently. His future seems to be with Arsenal, and he is the perfect player to have while they are in their rebuild process. He can develop even future under a good young manager like Arteta.
So, keep an eye out for this lad during the 2020/21 season. He will be keen to show the form he had in the season just gone. Especially as you’d imagine he’ll be getting more game time.

1. Mason Greenwood
Probably an obvious choice for a list like this. But saying that he already looks like a star in that Manchester United side.
Some of the lads on this list have a big season ahead of them to prove themselves. But Mason Greenwood has already proved he is good enough to be in that United starting 11.
He has been at the club since he was six years old and moved up the ranks. He only made his competitive debut back in March 2019 during a Champions League game.
Since then he has gone from strength to strength.
Last season was his real breakthrough season. He even returned from the Covid-19 break noticeable more bulky showing dedication beyond his years.
Greenwood is a natural goal scorer with the ability to finish with both feet. He isn’t an out and out striker in the United set up. But he can drift in as a second striker when needed.
He is genuinely a highly exciting talent for Manchester United. His place in the United starting 11 already seems secure for next season.
He even has certain United fans second guessing the point in spending mad money on fellow young star Jadon Sancho.
They already seem to have a ready-made star in that position with Greenwood. Brining in Sancho might even slow down his development and stun his confidence a bit.
Greenwood is another lad with well deserved hype around him. So why go out and buy a young star when you have one already at your disposal that could be happy to stay at the club long term.
While we can’t get ahead of ourselves with any of these lads. Greenwood looks like the one that could really come into his own in the 2020/21 season.
