The Nigerian international who made a shock loan transfer move on deadline day in January, has accepted a contract extension keeping him at his boyhood club until January 2021.
Following negotiations, between United and Ighalos’ parent club Shanghai Shenhua his loan move was said to becoming to an end on Monday. However, talks between the two clubs over the last few weeks have agreed on an extension for the new Red Devils man.

The loan move idea was for Ighalo was for him to see out the season out for Manchester United, due to the coronavirus pandemic which sent all sports into chaos including the Premier League which came to a standstill in March.
Many fans thought they would not see Odion Ighalo play another game in the famous red of Manchester United with stopping of the football season. However, with the Premier league resuming from June 17th, 9 league matches and cup games to come they hope to see the Nigeran on the score sheet once more.
